BanglaOCR user guide

1. Uploading a document

Go to the OCR tool on the homepageand drag & drop your file — or click the box to browse. Supported formats:

• Images: JPG, PNG, WebP
• Documents: PDF (multi-page, up to 15MB)

No signup is required and the tool is free, with a fair daily page limit per user.

2. Selecting a page (PDFs)

When you upload a PDF, every page appears as a thumbnail. Click the page you want to convert — the tool processes one page at a time, and you can pick another page after each result.

3. Rotate & crop before OCR

• Rotate 90°: use the ⟲ / ⟳ buttons for sideways scans.
• Fine rotation: the slider corrects tilted phone photos (±15°).
• Crop: drag the green handles to OCR only a specific area — a single column, a table, one paragraph. Only the selected area is sent for processing.

4. Reading the results

The recognized text appears next to the processed image. Bangla numerals (০১২৩৪৫৬৭৮৯) and যুক্তাক্ষর are preserved exactly as written. You can edit the text directly in the result box before copying or downloading.

5. Export formats

• Copy — straight to your clipboard
• TXT — plain text file
• Word (.doc) — opens in MS Word / LibreOffice with Bangla intact
• JSON — structured per-page output for developers
• HTML — a formatted web page of your text
• PDF — print-ready PDF via your browser
• ZIP — everything above in one download

6. Getting the best accuracy

• Scan at 300 DPI when possible; flat scans beat photos.
• For photos: bright light, straight-on angle, text filling the frame.
• Crop to the text area — page edges and backgrounds add noise.
